Why We Conduct Background Checks

My Car Concierge connects vehicle owners with automotive service providers. To protect our users, we require background screening for service providers as part of our provider verification process. Background checks may also be conducted:

The Consumer Reporting Agency

My Car Concierge uses third-party consumer reporting agencies to conduct background checks. The current CRA is BackgroundChecks.com (operated by Veritas Research Group), and you will be notified of any change before a new screening is initiated.

You will receive a secure invitation link by email directly from the CRA. Sensitive personal information — including your Social Security Number, date of birth, and home address — is collected by the CRA through their own secure intake form. My Car Concierge never sees, stores, or transmits this information; we only share your name, email, and the SKU of the screening package being ordered.

Consumer reporting agencies are required to maintain reasonable procedures for maximum possible accuracy of consumer reports. You have the right to dispute inaccurate information directly with the CRA.
