My Car Concierge operates as a marketplace platform connecting vehicle owners ("Members") with independent automotive service providers ("Providers"). We understand the importance of your personal information and are dedicated to protecting your privacy while providing you with an exceptional service experience.

Payment Information

  • Financial Account Info: Bank account details for Provider payouts (processed securely via Stripe)

Note: Payment information is processed and stored by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not store complete credit card numbers on our servers.

Usage Data

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, and unique device identifiers
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, pages viewed, and actions taken on our platform
  • Location Data: General location based on IP address; precise location if you enable location services

  • Member-Provider Sharing: When you create a service request, relevant information is shared with Providers who may bid on your request
  • Provider-Member Sharing: Provider business information, ratings, and reviews are visible to Members
  • Contact Information: Once a bid is accepted, contact details are shared to facilitate service completion

With Payment Processors

  • Stripe: Payment information is shared with Stripe to process transactions securely
  • Financial Institutions: Information necessary to complete transfers to Provider bank accounts

With Third-Party Service Providers

  • Cloud Hosting: Data storage and processing services
  • Analytics: Services that help us understand platform usage
  • Customer Support: Tools that help us respond to user inquiries
  • SMS Communications (Twilio): We use Twilio to send SMS verification codes for two-factor authentication (2FA). When you enable 2FA, your phone number is shared with Twilio solely for the purpose of delivering security codes. Twilio processes this data in accordance with their privacy policy.
  • Email Services: Platforms used to send transactional and promotional emails

Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time directly from within the app. To delete your account:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Navigate to Settings
  3. Scroll to the Danger Zone section
  4. Click Delete Account and confirm by typing "DELETE"

When you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data including profile information, vehicles, service history, and preferences. Some information (such as anonymized payment records) may be retained for legal, tax, and audit purposes as required by law. After deletion, you will receive a confirmation email.

9Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy:

  • Active Accounts: Data is retained while your account remains active
  • Closed Accounts: We retain certain information for up to 7 years after account closure for legal, tax, and audit purposes
  • Transaction Records: Payment and transaction records are retained as required by financial regulations

  • Anonymized Data: Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for analytics
